Metalith H2O Flood Control Barriers

IDT now offers a next-generation line of flood control and erosion control barriers - Metalith H2O. Using our proven Metalith construction techniques, we have designed a new size and configuration to meet the needs of emergency management organizations to battle rising floodwaters. They are dependable, easy to use, solid ballast containment, structures for controlling floodwaters.

Metalith H2O Flood Control Barriers

We designed the Metalith H2O barriers to be erected significantly faster than sandbag barriers as well as other ready to use barrier systems being offered. The Metalith H2O flood fighting barriers come in one standard size, 3’ tall by 4’ deep and can be erected to any length required using our simple stainless steel pin assembly system.

Add local fill once the bins are erected, and a permanent or temporary flood control barrier system is in place. The Metalith H2O barriers can be disassembled by simply removing the inserted pins for temporary installations.

Metalith H2O flood fighting and flood mitigation barriers can be quickly constructed on a river bank, or pre-erected and dropped into place if they are needed as armoring spines for a failing levee, as an example.

Applications for IDT’s Metalith H2O barriers include:

  • Bank or slope stabilization barriers
